Small plates of yumminess and fabulous red wine . . . what could be better?  OK, we’ll have white wine, too.  Tapas & Vino is an exciting competition that utilizes wine and “small plate” ingredients, along with participants’ ingenuity, to yield an energetic afternoon or evening.  

Participants start off with an exciting ice-breaker or two, and are then randomly formed into teams by our professional facilitator.  As these teams, or “wineries,” achieve various point benchmarks, by completing photo, video, and trivia challenges on iPads®, using BridgeTheApp™, our proprietary game app, they visit the bodega (wine store) to select the wine varietal they believe will best complement their homemade tapas.  In addition, teams are challenged to create a vineyard name, logo, and marketing campaign, including a publicly-performed “presentation,” showcasing their vineyard. 

Accompanying their “winery,” teams each make their very own tapas, commonly referred to as “small plates” or “appetizers.”  Provided with a dish description and the necessary tools and ingredients, teams work together to create award-winning tapas, to be enjoyed with their wine.  What’s the catch?  No recipes are provided, which inherently fosters collaboration and team building. 

Of course, no competition is complete without gold medals for the team that has worked best as a cohesive unit, earning the highest cumulative score, based upon criteria provided by our lead facilitator. 

And, of course, the final stage is a progressive wine and tapas tasting, roaming from “winery to winery,” experiencing a party on your palette. 

This event is ideal for a pleasurable afternoon get-together, or a pre-dinner cocktail event, and is certain to turn your most steadfast “beer & peanuts” guy into a confident sommelier & gourmand. 

As with all BridgeTheApp™-powered events, shortly after its conclusion, your inbox will contain a link to a web page where all of the photos and videos, captured by your participants, will be available for viewing and download.

To ensure an outstanding experience, aspects of this program may be modified to maximize the benefits for your group size, makeup, available time, and other variables.  In addition, for those groups that prefer an alternative to wine, the program may be delivered with margaritas, sangria, and even beer.
